February Dramas and Anime I'm Watching

Let's go over the dramas and anime I've started watching in 2021.

Momoiro Anzuiro Sakurairo

I've read the first volume of the manga, so I knew I would be watching this drama as well. (I don't think this manga has been translated to English though).

Been obsessed with the songs for the drama. Highly recommend checking them out.

Horimiya

Kyouko Hori doesn't have s social life, because she takes care of her younger brother since her parents are busy working. There's a guy in her class named Izumi Miyamura and seems to be a brooding, glasses-wearing otaku. Except that isn't the case he's a very gentle person and is inept at studying. In which he has nine piercings, long hair, and tattoos along his back and left shoulder. This is a story about how their friendship started. 

Since I'm watching the anime it was bound that I would watch the drama as well. I know there's a movie that came out in Japan, but not sure where it falls in the timeline between the movie and drama.

Mairunovich

This drama is another one that is an adaptation of the manga by Sato Zakuri. In which this is about an unpopular high school student Kinoshita Mairu who thinks she's ugly and plain. Kumada Tenyu transforms her to be a cute girl. This will be Kinoshita Mairu story.

I keep seeing videos on TikTok recommending certain Kdramas and I've been making a list and slowly been watching them.

Best Mistake 1 & 2*

I ended up watching seasons 1 and 2 back to back. Season 1 starts off with Kim Yeon Do uploads a photo of a guy who she claims to be her boyfriend. Now, turns out that the photo she chose was of a bad boy student at her school named Ji Hyun Ho. She ends up spending time with him and it shows their story.

Season 2 shows the romance and friendship growth from the characters in the first season.

Crash Landing on You*

This Kdrama Crash Landing on You was one that I did keep seeing being recommended to me. It is a story about a South Korean heiress and a North Korean elite who is an army officer. This drama shows their story of how they become friends and fall in love. It also shows the story of how they met and all the obstacle courses that they have to go through.

Run On*

Run On is about a popular sprinter who quit the national team due to legal issues named Ki Sun Gyeom. And Oh Mi Joo who translates for subtitles for movies. Which shows their story of how they get involved and their story. There's another story that shows Seo Dan Ah the CEO of a sports agency and Lee Young Hwa a university student who is an art major. It will show their story as well.

Sweet Revenge*

A girl named Ho Goo-hee is a high schooler, and an app appears on her phone and it takes revenge. Any name she puts down on in the app revenge happens.

Anime

I am still watching my usual animes like Detective Conan. (I'm on ep 999 that just came out).  I'm not done with season 3 of My Hero Academia yet. (I started watching other stuff that I ended up not finishing this yet).

2.34 High School Volleyball

I love Haikyuu, so as soon as I heard there was a new volleyball anime coming I knew this was one that I'll be watching. I'm not sure why I didn't start watching it as soon as it started airing, but I started watching once there was a decent amount of episodes to binge-watching. This is one anime I'm really enjoying.

Juujutsu Kaisen

Finally decided to watch this anime. I've heard a lot of good things about this and decided to finally start this. I've watched a few episodes and I'm enjoying it.

The Highschool Life of a Fudanshi

I was searching things on Crunchyroll to watch and saw this. It's only 12 episodes but was super short because it's like 3 minutes or so. I just pretty much had this play in the background while I was working on some homework.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime

Another one that a friend recommended I watch. I know season 2 started this year as well, so I thought I might as well start it. I'm definitely interested in reading the manga and light novel of this as well.
