April Anime and Dramas I'm Watching

 This month has been packed with lots of new dramas and animes to watch! I don't think I actually had a jammed packed season like this in a long time. Usually it's like drama or anime filled one side and not both. 

Influence

Influence is a drama adaptation of the novel by Fumie Kondo by the same name. 

This drama is about Yuri that goes to a female novelist and tells her that she and her two friends committed three murders when she was in high school. It'll be the story of Yuri and her friends Maho and Satoko. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story is. I heard that there are some things different between the novel and the drama, but not anything that changes the stories completely. It's also 5 episodes long, but wish it was longer. Hopefully, it can tell the whole story well in those 5 episodes.

Chaka from Travis Japan is in this drama. I was excited to see him in the drama. 

Coffee Ikaga Deshou

This drama is about Hajime Aoyama that runs a mobile coffee shop Tako Coffee. He comforts those who have wounded hearts and minds while he drives his coffee truck street to street. In which it seems like Hajime Aoyama is carefree, but he does have a secret. This is another one that is based on a manga under the same title.

At the time I'm typing this only one episode is out, but I'm very interested in how this drama will pan out. 

Renai Mangaka

It's about a mangaka artist Karibe Seiichiro. He isn't good at socializing, but he meets his brother's former girlfriend Kuon Aiko. He requests her to be his pseudo-romance partner. This is based on the manga under the same title. 

So far the time I'm writing this only episode 1 is out, so we'll see how the other episodes go. 

Takeuchi Ryoma no Satsukyu

This drama is about Takeuchi Royma who is taking a break from filming and is using his free time to visit spice shops. In which he wants to make a spicy curry. Ends up being recommended some of the shopper's favorite spices and together they make a flavourful curry. 

After I was trying to see what drama I was going to watch next this drama was on that list as well. We'll see how this drama goes. 

Naguriai, Honoo

This drama is actually only 2 episodes long. It is about a cardio surgeon Akita Mitsuo and he is on the track to be the next director of the hospital his father owns. His fiancee is Toyota Hidemi who is a nurse at this hospital. One day she reunites with Ogawa Nobuhiko who is a senior in her high school for who she has feelings. Mitsuo gets jealous and insecure about his relationship with his fiancee Toyota Hidemi.

Watashi no Otto wa Reitouko ni Nemutte Iru

Kisaragi Nana makes a living at an online shop that handles imported furniture and miscellaneous goods. She lives with her fiance Sato Ryo. Except Ryo ends up suddenly changes and becomes violent, but Kisaragi strangles Ryo. And she hides his corpse in an old freezer in the storeroom. However, this story will tell you what happens afterward and see how Kisaragi handles it. 

Only episode 1 has aired so far. I think this is going to be really interesting to see how they play out what happens in episode 1. 

Risky

This drama is about Mika Kuroda who is engaged to Toru Sakurai who works at a trading company as a high-spec boy. In which she pushes troublesome jobs to other people in the company and the reason is that she is getting married soon, but the other people in the company don't like this. Mitsutochi Asai is someone who works part-time but works without making an unpleasant face. Mika one day gets a message and it starts the mysterious events that occur around her. She receives a phone call from her former fiancee saying that her behavior is being monitored. Toru approaches Hinata with a kick and has a relationship, but the beginning of Hinata's horrifying revenge plan. Another drama that is adapted from manga under the same name. 

Dive

This iThis drama is adapted from the novel by Mori Eto. It is about Tomoki Sakai that is a first-year in high school. He has a talent for diving. He's been partaking in the sport for 6 years and is a part of the dive club MDC. The club is on the verge of being shut down due to budget. A new coach comes to MDC and informal the team that they will produce an athlete on the national dive team for the next Olympics. I've been watching a few dramas with Baba Fumika (the new coach). Plus HiHi Jets members Inoue Mizuki, Sakuma Ryuto, and Takahashi Yuto are in this drama. (I don't know much about HiHi Jets other than that they are a Johnny's Jr group). The drama looked interesting, so I thought I'd watch it. 

Kekkon Dekinai ni wa Wake ga Aru

This drama is adapted from the manga by Murasaki. This is about Mariko Goto who is 29 years old and wants to marry her ideal man by the age of 30. In which her ideal man is Mitsuo Tomoizawa and he is the chief at the same company. There's one secret and the problem is he loves his doll Michuko. This drama will go over how they deal with that problem. I'm watching this because of Mikomichi, but he seems to be getting into weird roles lately. LOL. 

Jimoto ni Kaerenai Wakeari Danshi no 14 no Jijo 

The drama has select members from the Kansai Johnny's Jr from the groups of Naniwa Boys, Ae! Group, and Lil Kansai. This is about them going to Tokyo and being men who can't go home even if they want to. 

Rikokatsu

This drama is about Mizuguchi who is a fashion magazine editor meets Obara Koichi who is in the Air Rescue Wing of the Air Self Defense Force. In which they are total opposites but get married without dating. Once they start living together they see how different both their lifestyles and values are. They decide to have a divorce, but can't break the news to their families or friends. Behind the scenes they start to prepare for their divorce, but this shows their story of how they continue to live together and support each other as husband and wife. 

  Takane no Hana-san  

This drama is based on a manga by the same title.

It's about a business woman who mocks and degrades her coworkers who make mistakes. Except the one that she mocks and degrades is actually the person she has a crush on. This is going to show the story of how she acts around him as someone who mocks and degrades him, but in her mind she thinks otherwise. I've watched a few episodes and I'm curious to see how this turns out. I have not read the manga for this though.

Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi

This drama is based on a manga by the same title.

It's about Shin Karino who is an unpopular manga writer and is single. He lives in an apartment complex that forbids children from living there. One day his doorbell is rung and he see a small boy who's 5 years old named Kotaro Sato. In which he tells Shin Karino that he moved into the neighborhood. Except to find out the boy lives by himself. This drama will focus on their relationship. To be honest I'm watching this because I saw that Yokoyama Yu was going to be in it. I haven't read the manga for this either. 

Nemesis

This drama is about Kazama Naoki who is a crack detective at the private investigation firm Nemesis. He has a very brilliant mind but isn't the one who solves mysteries His assistant Mikami Anna is the one who is talented. They are searching for Anna's father Hajime who went missing. I'm watching this drama because of Sakurai Sho and also Nakamura Aoi. 

Riso no Otoko

This drama is based off of a manga by the same title.

This drama is about a man that is the same age and a man who's 10 years younger that appeared in front of the female lead. Now, this pretty much is going to show the relationship with the female lead and these two men. I haven't read the manga for this one either. 

Tantei Hoshikamo

I'm watching this drama because of Arioka Daiki. 

It's about a Hoshikamo who yearned to be a private detective. He's bad with communicating with women. his office is a spot in his grandmother's recycle shop. Hoshikamo solves various of cases with his assistant Tsgumi Karato. Which she was his first client. 

Black Cinderella

I feel like I've been watching a decent amount of dramas with Kamio Fuju and Itagaki Mizuki. 

This drama is about a girl named Kamiya Manaha who has little self confidence. In which her dream as a child was to enter a Miss Seiran Contest that is a beauty pageant for high school students. She ends up meeting Tachibana Keigo a handsome boy and also a new transfer student who is self absorbed named Shimamura Sora. This will be about her story. 

Love Some no Okite

This drama is about Ruri who is a hardworking and beautiful. Now, she's actually inexperienced with love and has not had a boyfriend in 15 years. This drama will show what happens when her world is collided with Ryo who she works with. 

Dragon Zakura 2

This is adapted from the manga Dragon Zakura 2. 

I remember watching the first Dragon Zakura years ago. It aired in 2005. I know a lot of the cast is different in Dragon Zakura 2, but as soon as I heard there's a 2 coming I was so excited! I watched the first one, so I knew I'd watch this one as well. Plus Takahashi Kaito from King and Prince is in it. 

This drama starts with that a bunch of low ranked high school students got into Japan's top college, Tokyo University. In which Kenji Sakuragi is a lawyer turned teacher. In which he left the school once it was spiraling down hill, but came back to turn things around. 

Hello Mr. Gu

Hello, Mr. Gu is a Chinese drama.

It's about a CEO who enters a contractual marriage with an impoverished heiress. In which they have different personalities and are butting heads. They slowly fall in love with each other. And this will be their story of how it becomes their love story. 

A Love Story: You Are the Greatest Happiness

Also known as Sunshine of My Life it's a Chinese drama. This is a drama about a workaholic general manager of a highly successful fashion group. He meets a designer and she ends up studying in Europe. They enjoy spending time together and you see how they work together as partners and how their story pans out. 

Love Science

This drama is about Yan Fei and she is the CEO of Love Science Marriage Agency. In which she reunites with a friend who was like a brother to her. And he's been trying to be with her for years. In which Fei's ex-husband comes back unannounced wanting to get back together. This drama will show how her relationship with her brotherly friend turn out to be.  

Now to the anime for this season! There was so many dramas this season.

Zombieland Saga Revenge

Second season of Zombie Land Saga! This is one that I was waiting for a long time. The first season my best friend and I decided to watch it because we thought it sounded interesting that it involved Zombies and idols. The opening was amazing! It was something unexpected and I'm excited to see what this season brings!

Bakuten 

This anime is about Shoutarou Futaba who is fascinated with men's rhythmic gymnastic. In which he enrolls in Ao High School to be able to join the school's team. I haven't watched any name with gymnastics before, so I'm very interested in this anime to see how it goes. 

Shakunetsu Kabaddi

This anime is about Tatsuya Yoigoshi who is a recognized soccer player and is now a first year high school student at Noukin High School. In which because of his developed hatred for sports he becomes a famous livestreamer on the internet. One day Souma Azemichi who's on the kabaddi team seeks Yoigoshi to join but interrupts his livestream. This anime will show him getting into the sport. 

Koi to Yobu ni wa Kimochi Warui 

I saw so many ads for this anime. Like I kept seeing it come up on my recommended on YouTube for the CM for the anime.

A girl named Ichika Arima saves Ryou Amakusa from falling off the stairs. Except later that night he sees her again and she happens to be his little sisters best friend. He wants to thank her but is very flirtatious and gets shot down, because she's creeped out by his behavior. This drama will be about Ryou trying to get Ichika to change her mind. 

Tokyo Revengers

I only decided to watch this because I was recommended it. 

It's about Takemichi Hanagaki who's at the all time low in his life. He ends up finding out his ex girlfriend was murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang. In which he finds himself traveling through time to 12 years in the past and he was still in a relationship with Hinata. Now he realizes he can save her. He tries to get involved with Tokyo Manji Gang and climbs up the ranks in order to rewrite the future to save Hinata from her tragic fate. 

Boku no Hero Academia

I finished season 4, so I know I need to watch season 5!

There was more anime I wanted to watch, but I was so busy trying to catch up on all the dramas and season 4 MHA. (I caught up on MHA).
